A raw-food diet is one which contains only items that are not cooked or processed. The advantage for it is more enzymes and nutrients for a healthier you. Smoothies are a great approach to alter your raw food list. It is possible to tire of salads (or just eating fruits and vegetables raw and basic) fairly quickly. Combining fruits and veggies in a blender gives limitless combinations and gives you a pause from all that crunching. I have produce some unusual but savory combinations for raw foods smoothies in my years of vegetarianism. Scmnewline Scmnewline Carrot Surprise Smoothie - One apple (cored,peeled,sliced), 1 pear (cored,peeled,sliced), 1 cup carrot juice (all natural,no sugar added). Blend all ingredients in blender. Blend until smooth. Serves 2
Berry Good Smoothie - One cup raspberries, 1 cup blackberries, 1 sliced banana, cup fresh-squeezed orange juice. Blend all ingredients in blender. Blend until smooth. Serves 2
Tropical Tango Smoothie - One-half cup chopped, peeled mango, cup chopped, peeled papaya, cup pineapple chunks cup fresh squeezed lemon juice. Mix all ingredients in blender. Blend until smooth Serves 2
Silky Strawberry Smoothie - Two cups overripe strawberries, 1 sliced banana, 1 cup fresh-squeezed orange juice. Blend all ingredients in blender. Blend until smooth. Serves 2
Veggie Delight Smoothie - Juice of 2 (squeezed, strained) over-ripe tomatoes, cup (finely chopped) onion, cup carrot juice (all natural, no-sugar added), cup chopped celery. Mix all ingredients in blender. Blend until smooth. Strain. Serves 2
Elvis Unique Smoothie - One cup all natural peanut butter, 2 sliced bananas, 1 cup fresh squeezed orange juice. Blend all ingredients in blender. Blend until smooth. Serves 2
Bees Knees Smoothie - Quarter cup raw unfiltered honey, 1 cup blueberries, 1 cup strawberries, cup fresh-squeezed lemon juice. Blend all ingredients in blender. Blend until smooth. Serves 2
Coconut Cream Smoothie - One-cup coconut milk, 2 sliced bananas, 1 ripe pear (cored, peeled,chopped) Blend all ingredients in blender. Blend until smooth. Serves 2
Citrus Sensation Smoothie - One half cup each fresh squeezed lemon, lime, berry smoothie recipe and orange juice, 3 ripe pears (cored, peeled, chopped) Combine all ingredients in blender. Blend until smooth. Serves 2
